Payroll Specialist

Our client in Northwest Houston is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team.

In this role, you'll collaborate with Payroll, HR, Operations, and Accounting to support payroll processing, employee records, compliance, and reporting across multiple locations.

• Process and support weekly payroll for employees across multiple states
• Review, audit, and reconcile employee time records
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Assist with employee payroll questions and verification requests
• Maintain payroll deductions, employee records, and related system updates
• Support compliance reporting, including certified payroll and other required filings
• Research payroll requirements for new jurisdictions as needed
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate employee setup, classifications, and payroll processing
• Help maintain payroll compliance with federal, state, and company policies

• 2+ years of payroll experience
• Experience processing multi-state payroll
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Knowledge of payroll compliance, reporting, and regulations
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with payroll software (UKG experience is a plus)
