Job Description
Experience: Senior Level
Salary: $95 - $105 per hour
Job Details- Managing all aspects of revenue accounting, including the preparation and review of monthly revenue and deferred revenue journal entries.
- Conducting regular audits to ensure that revenue is being accurately recorded and reported.
- Collaborating with the operations and finance teams to understand and analyze production volumes, sales, and pricing.
- Assisting in the implementation of new revenue recognition standards and procedures.
- Providing consulting services to clients in the Energy industry, including advising on best practices for revenue accounting and financial reporting.
- Overseeing the monthly close process for revenue, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded in a timely manner.
- Preparing and presenting financial reports and analyses to senior management and clients.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and standards.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably in the Energy industry.
- Strong knowledge of Operated/Non-Operated Wells, and Quorum systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues before they arise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with other financial software.
- CPA certification or progress towards obtaining CPA certification is preferred.
