- Work closely with the Controller and internal teams to ensure grant expenditures are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reported.

Key Responsibilities of the Grant Accountant:
- Manage day-to-day grant accounting activities, ensuring transactions comply with GAAP, grant requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare and submit grantor invoices, reimbursement requests, draw requests, and grant expense reports.
- Maintain accurate and complete grant supporting documentation, accounting records, and financial files.
- Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices, checks, general ledger updates, and supporting documentation.
- Process approved employee expense reports and credit card transactions, ensuring appropriate coding and supporting documentation.
- Compare check and cash receipt activity to bank transactions at least weekly, investigate discrepancies, and escalate unresolved items to Finance leadership.
- Verify budget availability and grant coding for credit card transactions prior to posting.
Qualifications of the Grant Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience in grant accounting is required.
- Proficiency with Quick Books Online, including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and ACH payment processing.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable with a passion for supporting a mission-driven organization.
