Accounts Payable Supervisor
We are currently seeking an experienced AP Supervisor to join our dynamic client in the residential services industry. This is a permanent position designed for a diligent, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in accounts payable and a passion for the construction industry. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day AP operations, supervise and mentor AP staff, and support vendor management, invoice processing, and the development and enforcement of internal control policies and procedures.

Jobot has partnered with a well-established company in the residential services/construction industry in the Houston area to identify an AP Supervisor to join their growing finance team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounts payable professional who enjoys owning the full-cycle AP process, leading a team, and driving process improvements. Experience with in a Shared Services environment highly preferred!
Responsibilities include supervising and managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, coding, and payment runs; leading, training, and mentoring AP staff; overseeing vendor management; ensuring timely and accurate month-end close activities related to AP; identifying and implementing process and procedure improvements within the AP function; assisting with the design and enforcement of internal controls related to accounts payable;
partnering with project accounting/operations teams on job costing and vendor/subcontractor payment needs; supporting internal and external audit requests as needed; and collaborating with the broader accounting team on reporting and process initiatives.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, ideally including construction, home services, or project-based industries, prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred, strong understanding of full-cycle AP and month-end close processes, demonstrated experience driving process/procedure improvements, and strong Excel skills; ERP/construction accounting software experience a plus.
