Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team in South Houston. This position is ideal for an early-career accounting professional looking to build a strong foundation in general accounting while gaining exposure to month-end close, financial analysis, and financial reporting activities.

• Prepare journal entries and general ledger postings
• Assist with month-end close processes
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Support accrual accounting activities
• Analyze expenses and financial transactions
• Assist with financial reporting and account analysis
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and system-related projects

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred;
  Finance degree considered
• 2-3 years of accounting experience
• Experience in one or more of the following:
• Accounts Receivable
• Accounts Payable
• Fixed Assets
• General Ledger Accounting
• Understanding of debits and credits
• Understanding of balance sheet and income statement accounting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
