Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk to support our manufacturing facility in managing requisitions, purchase orders, vendor invoices, and inventory needs. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities- Replenishment Orders:
Process and place maintenance orders, issue purchase orders, and provide order updates. - New project Orders:
Process and place Job orders, issuing purchase orders for requisitions for special order and replenishment stock. - Facility Requisition s:
Request quotes, create purchase orders, and send them to vendors. - Packing Slips:
Verify packing slips for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy with purchase orders, and send pallet receivers. - Invoices & Statements:
Resolve vendor statement issues, request missing invoices, and work on Acumatica reports to clear unpaid invoices. - Project Gap Report:
Track open items, work with vendors for ETAs, and update production and installation on order statuses. - Utilize ERP - Acumatica to manage purchase transactions and track inventory levels
- Support inventory control initiatives by monitoring stock levels and coordinating replenishment activities
- Contribute to sourcing strategies by researching market trends and identifying potential suppliers
- Assist in evaluating supplier performance and maintaining supplier relationships
- Support production planning and merchandising efforts through accurate inventory management
- 2-3 years of experience in an MRO, purchasing, or inventory management role.
- Familiarity with purchasing systems (e.g., ERP).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods; occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds.
