Document Control Specialist
The Document Control Specialist will:
- Be the vital link between engineers and management in the Crew and Thermal Systems Division Systems Test Branch for Test Request Processing (Form 90s and STB-1A forms), Project Document Creation, and Checklists
- Need to be detail oriented, be able to work under deadlines and capable of switching tasks without dropping the ball
- Be cognizant of process bottlenecks and proactively make recommendations for improvements and identify process automation opportunities
- Maintain databases by entering new and updated project information
- Responsible for complying with data integrity and security policies, printing and scanning files and generating reports
- Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
- Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
Attention to detail - Computer savvy
Confidentiality
Thoroughness - Perform other duties as required
- Requires a HS diploma or its equivalent.
- Proficiency using computers.
- Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel) and data programs
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures.
- Knowledge of eLabs, Service Now
- Excellent personal and professional career growth
- 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off), when applicable

Work Environment:
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Equipment and Machines:
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
Attendance:
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
