Records and Information Management SpecialistContract Position - Downtown Houston
Project scheduled for 3-4+ months
Pay Rate $23-24 hour depending on experience, plus daily parking reimbursement
100% onsite position
Office hours Monday thru Friday, 8am-5pm
Job ObjectiveThis position will provide support for the labeling and re-organization records in preparation for a large-scale move.
EssentialJob Responsibilities
- The Records and Information Contractor will participate in the indexing, classification, labeling and filing of the paper and (potentially) electronic records.
- Perform imaging and digitizing activities in support of the Records Information Management (RIM) program and project objectives by following established procedures.
- MUST HAVE ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand on feet for extended periods of time
- High attention to detail with accurate data entry and organizational skills
- Preferred:
Experience working in the Oil & Gas Industry related to the RIM filing, classifying, indexing and organization. - Preferred:
Knowledge of information filing practices, rules, imaging methods and accepted classification structures and taxonomies. - Preferred:
Knowledge of terminology used in records classification, taxonomies, and schemas. - Preferred:
Knowledge of quality control and auditing procedures. - Preferred Software:
Filetrail or other ERM tools, IHS, Enertia, SAP, QLS. - Knowledge of basic Records Management theories and concepts, including:
Maturity Model, Records Life cycles, Metadata, records classification, taxonomies, creation, migration and disposition. - Knowledge of RIM requirements with respect to the maintenance of reliable and authentic records.
- Knowledge of RIM principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of and ability to use: MS Office Suite:
Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft TEAMS, Zoom
- High school diploma or equivalent, with some technical training and/or college level education in records management, library science or archives administration considered a plus
This is a Contract Position - Scheduled for 3-4+ months, may be extended based on business needs.
