Purpose:
Responsible for performing receptionist and clerical duties as related to the office of the building principal. Qualifications/
Skills:
Education/Certification:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
* Basic knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
* Ability to operate various office equipment (copier/fax machine).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work with people effectively.
* Strong time management skills.
* Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
* Bilingual a plus.
Experience:
* Previous office experience preferred.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
Communication/Reception and Phones:
* Interact with and provide assistance to teachers, students, parents, school and district personnel.
* Assist in scheduling appointments, meetings and conferences.
* Answer telephone, record, direct and deliver messages.
Clerical Support:
* Perform necessary computer skills as needed for principal (i.e. word processing, database, graphics, spreadsheets and data entry).
* Prepare and maintain records, if necessary.
Other:
* Participate in cross-training.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:

Computer and various office equipment.

Mental Demands:
* Maintain emotional control under stress.
* Work with frequent interruptions.
* This position requires regular in-person interaction with the public.
Physical Demands:
* Repetitive hand motions.
* Prolonged use of the computer.
* Frequent sitting, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling.
* Moving small stacks of textbooks, boxes, equipment and other campus equipment.
