Job DescriptionTo ensure the timely and orderly registration of students in compliance with state education and AISD Board policy. To maintain a thorough record system for recording and distributing grades.
Qualifications- Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED; qualify for state paraprofessional certification; post‑high‑school courses or a minimum of five years of office experience.

Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with attention to detail; self‑motivated and able to work independently; pleasant telephone personality and effective communications skills; ability to work cooperatively with all stakeholders; understanding of math and record‑keeping procedures; good typing skills; computer literate. - Experience: Three (3) years front‑office experience preferred.
- Program Management
- Supervise registration and withdrawal of students.
- Verify accuracy of student records.
- Supervise assistant registrars (if applicable).
- Maintain and certify pupil transcripts, grade averages, and class rankings; input data into computer; post test scores to permanent record card.
- Maintain pertinent student records in computer.
- Correspond with parents and sending/receiving schools regarding transfers, retention, transcripts, etc.
- Store cumulative folders of withdrawn students, teacher grade books, and permanent transcripts on file for the period prescribed by law.
- Assist students in completing applications.
- Answer incoming calls regarding registration and assist parents, students and personnel with related questions.
- Prepare and distribute all 12th‑grade student records to requesting agencies and campus offices (if applicable).
- Coordinate ordering and distribution of graduation items (caps, gowns, diplomas, honor cords, etc.) (if applicable).
- Policy, Reports, and Law
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Compile, maintain, and file all required reports, records, and documents.
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and local board policy.
- Other
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Maintain appropriate level of technology competence to meet current and future needs.
- Implement alternative methods of instruction as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Supervise assistant registrars when applicable.
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of Non‑Instructional Paraprofessional Personnel.
Salary2025‑2026 Salary Range:
Min. $29,748 – Mid. $35,596 – Max. $41,439 (based on prior experience). Salary is based on 205 days.
