Job Overview
Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking a Fleet Coordinator to support our Houston Division, based in The Woodlands, TX office. This role is focused on keeping operations organized and moving by coordinating logistics, maintaining accurate records, and supporting day-to-day fleet activity.
We’re looking for someone who is highly organized and detail oriented. If you can manage multiple tasks, keep accurate data, and find a way to move things from point A to point B, this role is for you.
Job SummaryThe Fleet Coordinator is responsible for managing the assignment, sourcing, and logistics of fleet assets across multiple projects. This role ensures processes are followed and that systems and records are updated accurately and on time. The position supports daily operations through coordination, tracking, and reporting, and involves monitoring utilization and assisting with decisions related to asset use, replacement, or disposal as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Track and maintain accurate records of assignments, locations, and status
- Keep all systems, logs, and documentation updated in a timely and accurate manner
- Process requests and manage the full lifecycle from initiation to completion
- Coordinate movement between projects and job sites, ensuring timely delivery and return
- Communicate with field teams, internal departments, and third‑party vendors
- Generate and maintain reports related to utilization and activity
- Monitor utilization to support cost‑effective use of assets
- Assist with sourcing rentals to meet project and operational needs
- Obtain permits and required documentation as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations (insurance, registration, DOT, etc.)
- Support acquisition and disposal processes by following established procedures
- Identify and resolve issues to keep operations moving efficiently
- Provide general administrative and coordination support to operations
- Previous administrative, coordination, dispatch, or data‑entry experience required
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to multi‑task and communicate effectively
- Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and tracking systems
- Ability to follow instructions, processes, and procedures
- Strong communication skills and willingness to make calls and follow up
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and web‑based applications
- Industry experience is helpful, but not required
- This is an office‑based position in The Woodlands, TX
