Scott-Macon Equipment is seeking a motivated Rental Support Specialist to join our Houston, TX team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate rental quotes, supporting customers throughout the rental process, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure equipment and service needs are met. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver accurate rental quotes based on customer requirements, project specifications, and equipment availability.
  • Review customer inquiries and identify the appropriate equipment and rental solutions to meet project needs.
  • Coordinate with rental, logistics, and sales teams to verify equipment availability, scheduling, and pricing.
  • Maintain quote logs and provide timely follow-up with sales and rental teams regarding next steps and customer status updates.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure a high level of customer service and efficient workflow.
  • Assist with rental documentation, contracts, and administrative processes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all customer and rental information is properly documented and updated.
  • Support daily rental operations and contribute to the successful execution of customer projects.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in one or more of the following areas: customer service, equipment rental, sales support, estimating, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of administrative support experience in a professional office environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential information professionally.
