Position Overview:

We are seeking a Legal Assistant to support a busy team of attorneys (one partner) within our litigation practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative and litigation support
• Prepare, revise, and format legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and filings
• Coordinate court filings (electronic and in-person) and ensure deadlines are met
• Maintain organized case files, calendars, and docketing information
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
• Assist with billing, time entry, and general administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the team paralegal and participate in workflow processes that offer ongoing learning

Qualifications:

• Prior at least one year of experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary (civil litigation preferred)
• Construction litigation experience is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
• High attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
• Motivated and organized individual
