Student Data Clerk
Primary
Purpose:
Maintain accurate student attendance, enrollment, withdrawal, demographic, and PEIMS data records for the campus in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements. Provide clerical and administrative support to ensure timely and accurate reporting through the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS).
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or GED certificate
- Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Knowledge of PEIMS requirements and student information systems preferred - Ability to maintain accurate records and data entry
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google applications, and student management systems
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience:
Previous clerical or school office experience preferred - Experience with student information systems preferred
Major
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Student Records & PEIMS: Maintain accurate student demographic, enrollment, attendance, scheduling, and withdrawal records. Verify and update student information in the district student information system. Assist with PEIMS submissions and data validation processes. Ensure compliance with TEA, district, and campus reporting requirements. Monitor attendance records and communicate discrepancies to campus administration. Process student withdrawals, transfers, and records requests. Assist with coding and auditing student information for accuracy.
- Campus Support: Provide clerical support to campus administration and counselors. Answer phones, greet parents, students, and visitors professionally. Assist with student registration and enrollment processes. Maintain cumulative records and confidential student files. Generate reports related to attendance, enrollment, grades, and PEIMS data. Support state testing and other campus operational needs as assigned.
- Compliance & Communication: Maintain confidentiality of all student and personnel information. Communicate with parents and staff regarding attendance and enrollment concerns. Attend district PEIMS and compliance trainings as required. Follow district policies, procedures, and timelines.

* Starting Salary: $26,297 Sheldon ISD will accept applications for this position through 06/07/2026. After this date, applicants can continue to submit applications in case the district was unable to find a suitable candidate. If the district was unable to find a suitable candidate from the initial applications, applications submitted after 06/07/2026 will be reviewed in five-day increments until a viable candidate is recommended for hire.
