Career Prep Student – Innovation & Equity Department

Career Prep Student assists the Innovation & Equity department.

Required:

Spring ISD Junior or Senior High School Student

Preferred:
Media Tech, Graphic Design or Business Management Pathway Student

• Skills to operate standard office equipment
• Use English in both written and verbal forms
• Use correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
• Perform basic arithmetic calculations
• Ability to file accurately

• Assist the Innovation & Equity staff with daily procedures
• Designing
• Sort and deliver mail
• Assist with data entry and filing
• Scan and record-keeping
• Help with setting up events
• Ensure office supplies are maintained
• Ensure timely and proper shredding of sensitive material
• Answer phone, mail and assist requested information
• Must work a minimum of 15 hours per week
• Other duties as assigned

This position requires a person that is able to maintain emotional control under stress. The usual and customary methods of performing this job require the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment efficiently and effectively with frequent interruptions. The job may require prolonged periods of sitting, reaching and repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of the computer.

Duties performed require considerable initiative and tact. The position requires leadership qualities such as adaptability, flexibility, dependability and accountability. Maintain confidential information and frequent contact with all levels within and outside of the district.
