Office Administrator/ Coordinator
Christ Church Cathedral, Houston, TX, seeks a full-time Coordinator for Worship, and Music, who, under the direction of the Director of Music and Canon Vicar, will coordinate the logistics of the parish’s liturgical and musical life.
Liturgy and worship sit at the heart of our church’s weekly rhythm and is one of the primary ways our community seeks to praise God and form disciples of all ages.
We have five Sunday services that welcome an average of 470+ parishioners in person, not to mention hundreds more online, and which we achieve with the help of dozens of volunteers each week. Our music program consists of volunteer and professional adult singers and will be adding children’s/youth choirs in the next 12-18 months. In addition, we have dozens of other special services throughout the year, such as choral evensongs, holiday services, funerals, and more, all of which require additional preparation and support.
Collaborating with clergy and other staff, the Coordinator for Worship and Music will play a key role in ensuring the smooth planning and implementation of the above mentioned(from preparation, to coordinating volunteers, to day-of support), and in doing so help the wholecommunity to more fully worship God.
