Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour
Benefits: PTO available after the successful completion of the temporary period.
Front Desk Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients, visitors, and vendors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and route incoming telephone calls while taking accurate messages as needed.
- Schedule, confirm, and adjust patient appointments.
- Register patients and update demographic and insurance information within the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Verify patient information and ensure all required documentation is complete prior to appointments.
- Scan, upload, and maintain patient records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with referral processing, medical records requests, and other front office administrative tasks.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to maintain an efficient patient flow throughout the day.
- Respond to patient questions while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Follow established office procedures and assist with additional administrative duties as assigned.

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and highly organized.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA privacy standards and patient confidentiality.
- Comfortable interacting with patients, providers, and insurance representatives.
- Ability to remain professional and composed while managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with a positive, patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or customer service role.
- Previous experience working with an EMR/EHR system preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Bilingual Spanish is required.
