Responsibilities
Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116‑bed facility located in the beautiful residential Kingwood community. The hospital is about 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center and provides 24‑hour emergency services for children, adolescents, and adults in psychiatric and behavioral health, including intensive outpatient and partial hospital program services.
Position SummaryThe Intake Coordinator will assist in receiving, scheduling, and/or referring inquiry calls; assist Counselors, Coordinators and the Director with coordinating assessments, initiating intake paperwork and insurance information; and work with the Admissions Clerk/Receptionist to ensure a smooth transition into the admission process.
Job Duties / Responsibilities- Coordinates and processes patient assessment. Handles inquiry calls immediately.
- Ensures all required information is placed on the intake form and facilitates referrals to outpatient services.
- Maintains communication with AHP, physicians’ offices and referral sources.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of related experience, preferred in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
- Current CPR, Handle With Care and Verbal De‑Escalation training (obtainable on‑site).
- Current Texas driver’s license.
- Schedule:
PRN. - Must be available to attend full hospital orientation (Week 1: Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM).
