Help Support the Next Generation Through Ministry

Lakewood Church is seeking a bilingual, organized, and ministry-minded Administrative Assistant to support our Next Gen Spanish Ministry.

Working directly with the Spanish Youth Pastor(s), this position provides administrative and clerical support that helps ministry initiatives, events, classes, volunteer development, and day-to-day operations run effectively.

This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys serving behind the scenes, communicates well with people, manages details with care, and wants to use their administrative strengths to support ministry to the next generation.

What You’ll Do

Working alongside the Spanish Youth Pastor(s), you’ll provide administrative support across ministry operations, communication, events, and volunteer coordination.

Administrative & Pastoral Support

  • Assist with coordinating meetings and appointments for the Next Gen Spanish Ministry Pastor(s)
  • Respond to calls, emails, letters, and other requests for information
  • Maintain ministry phone communications and route inquiries as appropriate
  • Compose and distribute routine correspondence by mail and email
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information and assignments with tact, discretion, and diplomacy
  • Perform general office duties and assist with special projects as needed

Ministry Events & Activities

  • Assist with coordinating ministry meetings, classes, events, and other initiatives
  • Enter and maintain event and activity information within the Lakewood CMS software
  • Coordinate event and class logistics with the Lakewood Events department
  • Attend meetings with youth staff and volunteer leaders as needed
  • Help support the administrative details necessary for ministry initiatives to be carried out effectively
  • Provide communication and administrative support to volunteer leaders
  • Assist with administrative support for the Spanish Next Gen Ministry volunteer and leadership development process
  • Help maintain clear communication between ministry staff, volunteer leaders, and other internal departments
  • Support ministry leaders as they coordinate activities, meetings, and development opportunities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • An uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church’s vision, values, and core beliefs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and professional business correspondence skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • The ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population
  • Good judgment when assisting with routine questions, issues, and concerns
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with department staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional appearance and conduct

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Some college (preferred), or equivalent work experience
