Manages the day-to-day operations of a small or medium-sized university program or department. May supervise staff employees, student workers, programs or processes.
Job Duties
- Assists with recruitment activities, including but not limitedto: coordinating and hosting informational meetings and recruitment events, answering phone and email inquiries from prospective students, applicants, and newly admitted students, holding individual meetings with prospective students, providing guided
Graduate School of Social Work building tours, and managing Help Desk emails. - Assists with admissions activities, including but not limited to:reviewing Master of Social Work applications for completion,tracking deferrals and declines, hosting welcome sessions, and resolving student account holds as needed.
- Oversight of student workers
- General administrative duties (e.g., phone/email, coordinating travel, arranging shipments, managing mail and packages, placing office supply orders, etc.)
- May require some travel during recruitment season
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 applications (e.g.,Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Excellent customer service skills (e.g., professional phone etiquette, verbal/written communication, resourcefulness, emotional intelligence)
- 3+ years of experience working with high school and/or college students, or in a high-demand customer/client facing position

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than oneprofessional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normallyobtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree froma college or university or an equivalent in-depth specializedtraining program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
