Clinical Outcomes Analyst – Houston Methodist

We are seeking a Clinical Outcomes Analyst to support our quality improvement initiatives by generating analyses and reports on clinical outcomes data and performance measures related to Houston Methodist activities. Candidates who are EPIC certified in Clarity or have experience in Power BI are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Generate analyses and reports on clinical outcomes data aggregation and performance measures.

• Explain analysis methodology and data implications to facilitate understanding and efficient use of findings.

• Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with entity leaders and physicians to develop improvement strategies.

• Collaborate with database developers and reporting departments to determine integration requirements and collaborative opportunities.

Essential Functions People
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, nursing, entity leaders, and employees; recommend improvements to working relationships.
  • Coordinate and facilitate relationships among departments, committees, and task forces 입니다 to implement quality improvement measurement initiatives.
Service
  • Participate in project team meetings and partner with internal customers to provide timely, accurate reports.
  • Organize and document responsibilities and activities to meet deadlines.
Quality/Safety
  • Develop and present logical, comprehensive analyses evaluating performance using applicable databasesadians reporting systems, and external benchmarking systems.
  • Identify and report quality and performance improvement opportunities; support external benchmarking and reporting compliance.
  • Use available databases for statistical reporting and data extraction as needed.
  • Develop and manage processes and tools to gather QI-driven datasets and assist leadership in enhancing quality improvement strategies.
Finance
  • Understand hospital billing/reimbursement systems and evaluate clinical & financial performance using Houston Methodist sources.
  • Identify cost‑saving and efficiency opportunities and develop monitoring and reporting mechanisms for leadership.
Growth/Innovation
  • Generate and communicate new ideas to improve quality, service, or finance.
  • Maintain professional growth through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, finance, health‑care administration, or related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an analyst or related role.
  • Health‑care experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
    Demonstrated skills and competencies required for safe performance of the job, including ongoing assessments and performance evaluations. Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English, especially in patient or employee safety contexts. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co‑workers in a customer‑service‑focused manner. General knowledge of statistical analysis techniques. General knowledge of performance improvement methodologies. Proficiency with spreadsheets, relational databases, and word‑processing software;

    knowledge of database design and query languages preferred. Independent problem‑solving ability. Interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of customers and collaborating across clinical and non‑clinical departments. Ability to multi‑task with good attention to detail. Ability to enhance reporting effectiveness and efficiency.
