Summary Of

The Role

As a member of the Natural Gas Scheduling team, the Natural Gas Scheduler will manage daily natural gas nominations, pipeline balancing, and real‑time operational coordination to support LNG facility requirements. This role supports optimization of transportation and storage assets and interfaces closely with Operations and Accounting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute daily and intraday pipeline nominations across multiple interstate and intrastate pipelines, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with pipeline cycle deadlines.
  • Monitor gas flows, pipeline balances, and storage positions; resolve imbalances and discrepancies with counter parties, pipelines, and internal teams.
  • Track, interpret, and communicate gas supply and pipeline operational updates, including maintenance, constraints, tariff changes, and fuel rates.
  • Perform real‑time adjustments and intraday re‑nominations to maintain operational integrity and meet LNG facility demand.
  • Act as liaison with upstream suppliers, downstream customers, pipelines, storage operators, and LNG facility personnel to ensure seamless operational performance.
  • Support onboarding of new transportation, storage, pooling, and balancing agreements; maintain accurate ETRM master data and pipeline setup.
  • Provide updates to trading, operations, settlements, and accounting teams regarding daily balances, volumetric changes, and pipeline costs.
  • Enter and validate all nominations, actualizations, transportation movements, and tariff parameters in the ETRM system.
  • Review, verify, and reconcile pipeline statements and support monthly settlement and invoicing processes.
  • Participate in an on‑call rotation to provide scheduling coverage outside standard office hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Develop strong working relationships with pipelines, marketers, suppliers, and storage operators.
  • Serve as a point of contact for daily commercial and operational dispatching.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy, Economics, or related field.
  • 1–5 years of natural gas scheduling, pipeline operations, or energy supply experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Texas natural gas pipeline grid, nomination cycles, and imbalance management.
  • Ability to work across multiple daily scheduling cycles (Timely, Evening, Intraday).
  • Proficiency in Excel and pipeline scheduling platforms; familiarity with ETRM systems (Openlink will be a plus).
  • Ability to work under multiple daily deadlines with high accuracy.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience supporting LNG feed gas or Gulf Coast pipeline markets.
  • Familiarity with NAESB contract framework and tariff interpretation.
Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.
