Headquartered in Downtown Houston, the Golden Pass LNG organization expects to double in size over the next several years as we complete the project, commence natural gas trading activities, and ramp up towards full LNG production. Once full operations commence, Golden Pass LNG will become the second largest consumer of natural gas in the US and produce more than 200 cargos of LNG per annum.
The Senior Natural Gas Scheduler will be responsible for working with a team of traders and schedulers to timely and accurately nominate on the pipeline Electronic Bulletin Boards (EBB) in support of the commercial organization and working with 3rd party pipelines and cross-functionally to on-board new facility agreements. A natural leader who takes initiative, self-sufficient with limited supervision. This position will report to the Gas Scheduling Manager and is located in Houston, TX.
EssentialDuties / Functions
- Scheduling all physical natural gas for the commercial team across multiple pipelines.
- Identify short-term transportation or storage opportunities to optimize the portfolio.
- Track and manage pipeline imbalances and/or storage balances relative to contractual terms as well as determining any optimization opportunities.
- Correct intra-day nominations as needed.
- Proactively communicate pipeline market information with the commercial team.
- Capture nomination and actualized data in the ETRM system.
- Maintain tariff rate charges.
- Identify areas of improvement for operational efficiencies and drive the associated changes and improvements.
- Provide leadership to more junior schedulers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external parties.
- Represent the Company at relevant industry events.
- Liaise with the settlements and middle office teams to ensure timely and accurate position, P&L, and settlements information.
Minimum education required of the position.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 10 or more years of experience in the natural gas markets.
- Experience working with multiple electronic bulletin boards (EBBs) and ETRM systems.
- Endur experience preferred but not required.

- Extensive knowledge of the North American pipeline systems, tariffs, and movement of natural gas in multiple regions
- Ability to make sound commercial decisions with limited input from others

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ETRM and various EBBs
- Ability to provide evening and weekend scheduling support as needed
