Role SummaryThe Chief Product Officer (CPO) is a core member of the executive leadership team and is accountable for defining, evolving, and monetizing Apex Health’s product portfolio across analytics, strategic advisory services, and platform-enabled offerings. Reporting directly to the President, the CPO owns the end-to-end product value proposition
—from market insight and assessment through program design and scalable product adoption.
This role serves as the architect of how Apex creates, proves, and scales value for health system and physician network clients, particularly within long-cycle enterprise sales environments. The CPO ensures that Apex’s analytics capabilities, advisory services, and product offerings are cohesive, repeatable, and commercially viable, while clearly delineating product definition and value realization from operational fulfillment.
The ideal candidate brings deep healthcare domain expertise, strong healthcare analytics experience, and executive-level product leadership, paired with the ability to translate complex healthcare challenges into differentiated, scalable solutions that support multi-year client relationships and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities Product Vision, Strategy & Portfolio Ownership- Define and own Apex Health’s enterprise product vision and multi-year roadmap across analytics, advisory services, and platform-enabled offerings.
- Translate market needs, client pain points, and regulatory realities into clearly defined, productized offerings that drive measurable operational and financial outcomes.
- Ensure tight alignment between product strategy and corporate growth objectives, investment priorities, and go-to-market sequencing.
- Oversee Apex’s analytics function, including data assets, measurement frameworks, and insight generation that underpin advisory services and platform value measurement.
- Ensure analytics capabilities are “industry leading” and fit the needs of Apex customers including enterprise health systems, physician networks, regional MA plans, and provider risk platforms.
- Partner with commercial and advisory teams to convert analytics into compelling ROI narratives, performance benchmarks, and decision support tools.
- Lead the design and evolution of Apex’s strategic advisory and assessment offerings, particularly those supporting “Year 1” client engagements.
- Ensure advisory services are structured, repeatable, and productized—serving as a bridge from initial engagement to scalable platform adoption.
- Oversee “Year 1” program development that translates strategic advisory engagements into Apex platform-based solutions, supporting multi-year client value realization.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the President and executive leadership team in shaping company strategy, investment decisions, and growth initiatives.
- Support enterprise sales efforts by providing product narratives, assessment frameworks, and value propositions aligned to long and complex sales cycles.
- Represent Apex’s product and value vision with external stakeholders, including health system executives, clinical leaders, and industry partners.
- Build, structure, and scale a high-performing product organization spanning product management, analytics, and advisory program development.
- Establish clear operating models, decision rights, and governance that distinguish product ownership from platform services delivery and Market Operations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, rigor, and continuous improvement, ensuring initiatives move from concept to measurable impact.
