About the role

As a Legal Counsel – Global Entity Governance, you will be responsible for:

  • Overall corporate governance of Baker Hughes legal entities in North America.
  • Conducting meetings of the board of directors and shareholders of the entities within the assigned jurisdictions.
  • Managing the power of attorney process, by receiving requests, obtaining approvals and issuing.
  • Reviewing resolutions, documents and power of attorneys requested by subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • Handling the notarization, apostille, and legalization of documents.
  • Supporting Mergers & Acquisitions.
  • Providing, in a timely manner, all corporate information related to assigned jurisdictions as requested by other BKR teams.
  • Managing invoicing procedures and workflows to ensure compliance with guidelines – supporting processing invoices, new vendor onboarding, vendor training, billing error resolutions and serving as a liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least three years of post‑qualified experience working as a lawyer for a multinational law firm or as in‑house counsel for a large multinational corporation.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in corporate governance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Capability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Effective problem‑identification and solution skills.
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability.
