Job Description About the RoleAs Senior Analyst – Energy Markets, you will be responsible for energy market analysis. You will analyze the fundamental drivers of global oil and regional gas markets, support existing publications, and report to the Executive Director of Energy Markets.
About the TeamChemical Market Analytics by OPIS, a Dow Jones company, provides stakeholders with deep insights, future outlooks, price discovery, and consultancy for more than 200 core building‑block chemicals. The team offers short‑ and long‑term market coverage and top‑tier events worldwide.
You Will- Collect and organize crude oil, fuel product and natural gas statistics and current events
- Lead the preparation of models, data sets, and analytics covering energy markets
- Design and prepare content delivery tools that enhance client experience
- Collaborate with other analysts to create views on NGL content within gas‑producing regions
- Support preparation of content, analytical tools, and processes; serve as the primary interface with systems development for upcoming services
- Leverage intra‑company expertise and content to support deliverables
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Understanding of the fundamental drivers of the global oil and regional gas markets
- Knowledge of the energy value chain and the ability to quickly gain applied understanding of market dynamics
- Direct experience operating and manipulating gas market models
- Proficiency in Python, data visualization/business intelligence applications (e.g., Power
BI), data analysis, and data modelling - Experience with RBAC model and refinery unit operations modelling
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Business, Data Science, or equivalent experience

Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000 (based on experience, market, location, and technical skills). Pay‑for‑performance and benefits eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
