Role DescriptionThis role will manage commercial activities for crude oil midstream assets, expand key customer relationships, and help drive growth projects to negotiate and administer commercial agreements that support existing operations and new infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings experience in contract negotiation, economic analysis, a proven commercial track record, and deep familiarity with North American crude markets
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain customer relationships and serve as a primary commercial point of contact.
- Lead commercial contracting for pipelines, terminals, storage, and related services, including term sheets, negotiations, and final agreements.
- Administer executed agreements and partner with Accounting, Operations, Scheduling, and Legal to ensure compliance with commercial terms and operational requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and advance growth opportunities across existing assets (e.g., debottlenecks, expansions, new connections, tank/terminal additions, and optimization initiatives).
- Develop and deliver customer-facing marketing materials, proposals, and presentations; represent the company in commercial meetings and negotiations.
- Support annual budgeting and management/board materials with volume and revenue forecasts, market updates, and project status reporting.
- Partner with Corporate Development on new growth projects, acquisitions, diligence, valuation inputs, and synergy assessment.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, Engineering, Marketing, or related); MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in crude oil midstream commercial development, marketing, trading, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of North American crude supply/demand, differentials, logistics, and common midstream commercial structures
- Demonstrated success in negotiating and executing long-term commercial agreements.
- Trading, marketing, or product sales experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence across internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-directed and accountable; effective in a lean, fast-paced environment; able to drive cross-functional work streams to closure.
