Job Description
We are looking for a Principal for Wood Mackenzie’s LNG Assets Research team, within our Global Gas & LNG research practice. Our team provides industry‑leading analysis of LNG assets around the world, with a focus on understanding the commercial factors that drive developments. The role, located in Houston, is focused on North American LNG and is pivotal to the success of Wood Mackenzie gas research.
- Lead the North American LNG export research and provide high‑quality asset and market analysis.
- Define Wood Mackenzie view on LNG supply projects and project economics, key LNG export companies, LNG feed‑gas options, contracting structures, liquefaction costs and EPC terms, and LNG emissions and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with the wider North America and global gas teams to publish thought‑leading insights, topical reports, and update datasets.
- Speak with existing and prospective clients and build Wood Mackenzie gas and LNG business in the Americas, working with sales and consulting teams.
- Lead discussions on North American and global LNG market developments with clients at a senior level, build and maintain contacts with key industry players, and develop research and commercial relationships.
- Coach less experienced team members across gas research and consulting teams.
- Experience in a data, analytics, or consulting business, or a commercial gas‑related role with an industry, government or financial participant.
- Deep industry knowledge and enthusiasm for analysis.
- Passion for work and quality that builds credibility with clients.
- Ability to develop and implement modelling and integrated scenario problem‑solving.
- Curiosity, energy, and creative thinking.
- Commercial acumen to define expectations for LNG research.
- Strong network engagement and the ability to translate client priorities into insight and data.
