As the Regional Procurement & Supply Chain Lead, you will oversee and manage procurement and supply chain operations within the designated region, ensuring business needs are met, the organization is equipped efficiently, and global category strategies are implemented at the right total cost of ownership.
This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, while demonstrating a hands‑on mentality to guarantee cost‑effective acquisition of goods and services and seamless operation of the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a strategic partner to functions, business, and service lines, aligning procurement and supply chain strategies with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Operations, Finance and Legal to support business objectives.
- Provide expert advice and insights on procurement and supply chain matters to senior management.
- Drive business value through procurement excellence, focusing on P2P and S2C.
- Develop and implement procurement categories and supply chain strategies in cooperation with global category management.
- Manage regional procurement and supply chain budgets and forecasts.
- Identify, evaluate and select suppliers and vendors to meet the organization’s needs.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms, and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Optimize logistics operations to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery of goods.
- Manage inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimize costs and ensure product availability.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve supply chain performance.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement and supply chain efficiency.
- Manage risk and ensure business continuity through effective supplier management and contingency planning.
- Develop and communicate a point of view on how digital solutions can improve the way of working, leveraging technology to streamline processes and drive innovation.
- Support IFS implementation and embedding of the ERP system and source‑to‑pay processes, driving adoption and compliance.
- Sponsor training and support staff on IFS functionalities to maximize utilization and benefits.
- Directly oversee, coach, mentor, and manage the Procurement and Supply Chain team.
- Drive employee engagement and provide routine feedback on personnel issues.
- Ensure compliance with company, industry, QHSSE policies and federal, state and local regulations.
- Contribute to the realization of sustainability and compliance goals and roll out selected tools in the region.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- At least 15 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a minimum of five years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in strategic procurement, supplier management, supply chain optimization, and contract negotiation.
- Strong project and change management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement and supply chain software and strategic procurement, supply chain optimization, and logistics management.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR.
- Certification in procurement and supply chain management (e.g., APICS) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
