Position SummaryThe Broker Assistant is responsible for providing operational support to the brokerage team by efficiently handling day‑to‑day operational tasks, ensuring compliance, and facilitating communication within the brokerage team.
Job Responsibilities- Assist in executing and coordinating day‑to‑day brokerage operations and support implementation of operational procedures.
- Coordinate with the broker to prepare documents, cover letters, etc., for market renewal business and provide administrative support in filing, printing, and archiving documents.
- Administer and update new and current client information in all required systems accurately.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of client accounts, transactions, and other documentation to ensure compliance with record‑keeping regulations.
- Perform customer service functions by answering broker requests via telephone, email, chat, or in person.
- Contribute to the preparation of compliance reports related to brokerage operations and collaborate across broker and finance teams on business requirements.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies and assist in the preparation of compliance reports.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating operational risks and collaborate with risk management teams to implement controls.
- Support the brokerage team with any ad-hoc tasks and requests.
- 0+ years of experience in the insurance industry or underwriting.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business Administration, Sales, and Risk Management preferred; other related disciplines or commensurate work experience considered).
- Minimum requirements for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses (prescribed).

The target hourly rate range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. Full‑time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
