The Compliance Lead will be responsible for assisting the Director of Compliance in ensuring compliance with all domestic and international regulatory standards as they apply to cosmetics and tools manufacturing sales and distribution, as well as product registration and ISO compliance. In addition, the Compliance Lead will be responsible for leading daily work activities for the Compliance department, under the guidance of the Director of Compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Lead and coordinate with other departments as necessary in approving product artwork.
- Lead and coordinate the daily work activities of the department to meet Company goals and objectives.
- Answer general questions and resolve routine problems, referring more complex problems to the department director.
- Communicate with vendors and distributors to address issues related to product compliance.
- Track projects and deadlines.
- Assist the department director in training new hires and current employees as needed.
- Coordinate with sales department in ensuring Amazon documentation is provided.
- Assist in preparation and filing of reports, spreadsheets and compliance records.
- Assist in preparation of Safety Data Sheets, Free Sale Certificates and Product Certificates.
- Interface and work with Research and Development and Quality Control on assigned projects as they relate to product compliance.
- Obtain necessary documentation and provide to outside vendor for preparation of Safety Assessments.
- Provide foreign distributors with necessary information to effect product registration in countries outside the United States.
- Assist the department director in maintaining ISO compliance, to include conducting ISO audits.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Some experience working in a Regulatory/Legal, Environmental Health and Safety, or Research and Development/Laboratory environment in a chemical industry is preferred.
- Administrative/clerical experience is a must.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability for detail and precision.
- Excellent written, verbal and oral communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Must be reliable with exceptional attendance and work ethic.
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and employees.
- Ability to work well alone or in a team environment.
