Business Analyst

A leading natural gas owner/operator is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the natural gas industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working on projects related to contracts, capacity release, shipper/operator activities, nominations, confirmations, measurement, scheduling, allocation, and invoicing for natural gas transportation companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document business requirements for gas transportation processes, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including shippers, operators, and internal teams, to optimize scheduling, nominations, and capacity release processes.
• Support system enhancements and implementations related to measurement, allocation, and invoicing functions.
• Work closely with IT teams to translate business needs into system requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to gas scheduling, nominations, and confirmations.
• Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements and system efficiencies.
• Develop reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Gas industry experience is required, particularly with natural gas transportation processes.
• Strong understanding of contract management, capacity release, nominations, confirmations, measurement, scheduling, allocation, and invoicing.
• Experience working with business applications and systems related to natural gas transportation.
• Ability to analyze complex business processes and recommend practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools is a plus.
