The Senior Tender Manager is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end tendering process in a complex sales environment, ensuring competitive, compliant, and value‑driven proposals. The role integrates cross‑functional inputs across technical, financial, sourcing, and commercial domains to deliver winning bids aligned with business strategy. By managing multiple opportunities and influencing stakeholders, the role contributes directly to regional sales plans and long‑term growth objectives.
Responsibilities- Develop commercial proposals and quotations in complex sales environments, ensuring competitiveness, profitability, and strong client value propositions.
- Lead the functions supporting the commercial process—including technical proposals, schedules, sourcing strategies, execution plans, quality plans, financials, and investment requirements—without formal authority.
- Develop or support cost models associated with contract scope to ensure accuracy and alignment with commercial strategy.
- Revise and negotiate customer scope, pricing, contractual terms & conditions, and technical and financial aspects in collaboration with Engineering and Product teams.
- Prepare and present deal business cases for functional and leadership approvals prior to submission.
- Support operational, financial, commercial, and contractual risk assessments, including securing internal approvals for deviations from company standards.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and support governance and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with the Sales function to deliver annual sales plans and long‑range strategic objectives.
- Support price benchmarking, competitive positioning, and bid strategy development.
- Manage standardized product offerings with predefined configurations and provide client advisory where required.
- Compile and submit complete tender documentation within defined timelines.
- Lead the process from Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotation (RFQ) through to handover to execution teams.
- Lead or support implementation of variation orders and contract amendments within backlog agreements.
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; or a degree in another field supported by strong analytical and mathematical capabilities.
- Have 8+ years of experience across Commercial Proposals, Costing, Contracts, Finance, Sourcing, Project Management, or Application Engineering.
- Have 5+ years of experience within the Energy Offshore market.
- Have advanced to fluent English proficiency, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt messaging across different audiences.
- Have the ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross‑functional teams without formal authority.
- Have proven capability to manage medium to high complexity scopes of work and contractual structures.
- Be able to coordinate multiple commercial opportunities simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Have strong analytical and mathematical capabilities with attention to detail.
- Demonstrate resilience and the ability to perform under pressure and manage workload seasonality effectively.
