** Position Summary
** The Retirement Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the administration and daily operations of the organization’s retirement plans (e.g., 401(k), pension). This role ensures accurate processing of contributions, distributions, and compliance with regulatory requirements while partnering with vendors, payroll, and HR teams to deliver a seamless employee experience.##
** Key Responsibilities
*** Administer day-to-day operations of retirement plans, including 401(k) and pension programs
* Process employee contributions, loan requests, distributions, and rollovers accurately and timely
* Reconcile payroll files with retirement plan records and identify discrepancies
* Partner with payroll, HR, and external vendors (recordkeepers, trustees, auditors) to ensure data accuracy
* Monitor and ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations
* Support annual audits, nondiscrimination testing (ADP/ACP), and Form 5500 reporting
* Maintain plan documentation and assist with plan amendments
* Investigate and resolve participant issues, discrepancies, and inquiries
* Assist with plan communications, employee education, and enrollment activities
* Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation initiatives
* Generate reports and provide data analysis on plan performance and participation trends##
** Qualifications**###
** Education
* ** Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required###
** Experience
* ** 2–5 years of experience in retirement plan administration, benefits operations, payroll, or financial services
* Experience working with 401(k) plans and recordkeeping systems
* Exposure to payroll systems and integrations preferred
* Experience with audits or compliance processes is a plus###
** Certifications (Preferred)
*** Certified Retirement Plan Professional (CRPP)
* Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA)
* CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) (a plus)##
** Technical Skills
*** Strong proficiency in Excel (data analysis, reconciliation, pivot tables)
* Experience with HRIS/Payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG)
* Familiarity with retirement plan recordkeeping platforms (e.g., Fidelity, Vanguard, Empower)
* Knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations
* Strong data reconciliation and auditing skills
