Job Description Summary Regional Sales Director

Sunbelt Rentals—the fastest growing rental business in North America—is seeking a Regional Sales Director. As a Regional Sales Director, you will work with RVP to continually develop, communicate, and implement the overall go-to-market strategy for your region, through continuous improvement of the sales culture and processes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manage Key Account Program
  • Set quarterly goals for KAR relevant to seasonality and market trends.
  • Provide information and support to DMs to manage key accounts in their geographic area of responsibility.
  • Call on national, strategic, and key account customers within the region to develop relationships and promote Sunbelt Rentals products and services.
  • Cross-leverage and communicate assigned key account opportunities to other districts and regions within Sunbelt.
Sales Support
  • Work with RVP and DMs to develop and facilitate sales training initiatives.
  • Develop strategies relative to sales territory coverage, rate initiatives, fleet rent goals, and more.
  • Work with DMs and PCMs on market‑specific sales strategies and implementation.
  • Recruit, select, and develop OSRs in collaboration with DMs and PCMs.
  • Create and validate sales territories with the Sales Support Team.
  • Support CSR development and support with RVP, DMs, and PCMs.
Operational Support
  • Develop and implement regional go‑to‑market strategies in partnership with RVP.
  • Maintain fleet rent‑ready standards through interactions with PCMs and shop foremen during PC visits.
  • Implement facility appearance standards for all facilities in the region.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • College degree in business or equivalent experience.
  • 5–7 years of proven sales experience.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop subordinates.
  • Ability to operate across all company functions from senior levels down.
  • Previous proven supervisory skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Motivational and results‑driven, inspiring others to achieve goals.
  • Proven ability to drive results in alignment with Sunbelt values and goals.
  • Extensive overnight travel required; must possess a valid driver's license with acceptable driving history.
  • Physical ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 50 pounds or more, and work indoors/outdoors as required.
