Overview

The Supply Chain Sustainability Specialist supports the development, coordination, and execution of supplier sustainability programs and cross-functional initiatives across Weatherford’s value chain. This role partners with internal stakeholders to support supplier engagement, ESG reporting, data management, risk assessment, and continuous improvement activities, while helping integrate sustainability considerations into supply chain processes and align initiatives with business objectives and performance goals.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate supplier governance processes, controls, and sustainability activities to support reporting, compliance, and business commitments
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders to support alignment on sustainability priorities and program goals
  • Support initiatives that advance value chain climate goals and continuous improvement plans
  • Manage assigned supplier sustainability and risk management activities, including action tracking, deliverables, timelines, and mitigation follow-up
  • Implement supply chain sustainability processes and solutions aligned with business priorities
  • Support sustainability metrics, programs, and regulatory requirements using recognized frameworks, including GHG Protocol, GRI, ISO, CSRD, CSDDD, and SEC requirements
  • Improve data collection, reporting processes, and performance tracking across functions and geographies
  • Support management efforts by communicating priorities clearly and promoting adoption of new processes and practices
  • Support implementation and monitoring of supply chain sustainability regulations, including EU Green Deal requirements such as CBAM and EUDR, while maintaining complete and accurate data
  • Coordinate stakeholder communication, project rollout, and change adoption across business units, manufacturing, and operational locations
  • Support sustainability-related cost planning, financial impact assessments, and value creation opportunities across supply chain projects and programs
  • Ensure sustainability activities align with HSE performance expectations and management system requirements
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, governance standards, applicable laws, and industry practices
  • Participate in relevant internal and external sustainability forums and contribute to program updates, business cases, and stakeholder communications
Skills / Education
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in supply chain, supplier management, sustainability, ESG reporting, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain, finance, business, economics, engineering, sustainability, environmental science, or a related field; or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks and methodologies, such as GHG Protocol, GRI, ISO, CSRD, CSDDD, and SEC requirements
  • Ability to manage assigned work streams and communicate updates to internal stakeholders
  • Strong project coordination, organization, and follow-through skills
  • Strong collaboration and written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing deliverables in a collaborative environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Knowledge of supply chain sustainability practices and business intelligence concepts
  • Experience with supply chain diversity, human rights, or social impact programs
  • Familiarity with third-party supplier risk platforms such as Sphera, HICX, Avetta, or ISN
  • Exposure to sustainability-related contract language is a plus
  • Exposure to environmental, HSE, or sustainability reporting is a plus
  • Exposure to external assurance or audit support activities is a plus
  • Knowledge of risk assessment, management, and monitoring practices
  • Experience supporting development of processes and controls is preferred
  • Second language proficiency in one of Weatherford’s core languages
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong working relationships
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, including communication with large groups
  • Detail-oriented, with experience reviewing and summarizing technical information
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and travel as needed
