What is the position?

The Contract Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of complex construction agreements supporting large-scale power and energy infrastructure initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in contract strategy, risk mitigation, vendor management, and executive reporting while partnering closely with legal, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to ensure successful project execution.

What are the responsibilities?

As a Contract Manager, you will:

  • Manage the preparation, negotiation, revision, and administration of major construction and vendor agreements for energy-related projects.
  • Assess contractual obligations, identify potential risks, and recommend solutions that safeguard project and organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate with legal advisors and key stakeholders to facilitate efficient contract execution and issue resolution.
  • Track contract compliance, oversee change management processes, and ensure fulfillment of project deliverables.
  • Develop reports and presentations for senior leadership outlining contract performance, project milestones, financial impacts, and risk exposure.
  • Support procurement activities, contractor evaluations, and post-award contract administration efforts.
  • Review insurance requirements, invoicing activities, budget forecasts, and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for complex procurement methods, including EPC and design-build project delivery models.
What are the requirements?
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Law, or a related discipline
  • Certifications in contract management (CPCM, NCMA, etc.) preferred
  • 10+ years of experience managing contracts
  • 3+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry or large construction projects
  • Demonstrated experience handling high-profile agreements and interacting with executive leadership
  • Strong knowledge of EPC contracts and major capital project contracting practices
  • Ability to analyze financial data, contract risks, and cash flow impacts
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience using contract management systems, Microsoft Office applications, and analytical reporting tools
