Who You’ll Work With

You will work with a dynamic team responsible for the risk, controls and governance of a dually registered broker-dealer and RIA within the first line. The team works across the organization and coordinates among key stakeholders in the business, IT, operations, product, legal and compliance. We also closely collaborate with other work streams as a subject matter expert to provide feedback for other priorities and IT development teams within Retirement Services.

About

the Role

This role is key to supporting advisor tools and our strategic vision for Wealth Management initiatives, ensuring compliance with broker-dealer regulations and managing a backlog of enhancements and budget. The duties include supporting both BAU activities and enhancements on advisor proprietary tools, 3rd‑party platforms, Regulation Best Interest workflow, and tools supporting the B/D’s compliance with RegBI, DOL and other state insurance and securities requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Owner of end‑user tools for new business applications such as annuity order entry, proprietary e‑delivery/signature platforms, and custom tools built for financial advisors.
  • Define end‑to‑end system vision in collaboration with stakeholders across legal, compliance, risk, product, operations, and distribution.
  • Manage the backlog of development work and coordinate with the scrum team on timelines and deployment schedules.
  • Manage internal IT resources and 3rd‑party vendor SLA commitments where appropriate.
  • Ensure development aligns with customer needs and business objectives, acting as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and development teams.
  • Perform UAT testing on weekends and after hours.
  • Develop implementation planning and manage change‑management activities in coordination with training teams and distribution.
  • Evolve platforms when improvement opportunities are identified.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory environments, and adapt quickly.
  • Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria and testing plans.
  • Present strategy vision and ongoing status reports to senior and executive leadership.
  • Prevent scope creep, reduce development waste, and accelerate time to market.
  • Determine, implement and perform control activities around system administration and reporting to ensure regulatory compliance of features and functionality.
  • Lead and monitor implementation activities related to regulatory compliance changes across the organization, including system updates, procedure documentation, reporting and monitoring.
Skills & Qualifications

Analytical: assess platform performance, evaluate business value, and make data‑driven decisions.

Communication: articulate vision, negotiate priorities, and facilitate cross‑functional teamwork.

Technical: knowledge of software delivery and development processes to liaise effectively between business and development.

Problem solving: resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, and adapt to change.

Customer focus: understand user needs and advocate for both internal and external experiences.

Securities licenses preferred but not required.

Undergraduate degree required; at least 5years of financial services experience, preferably with a broker‑dealer and/or RIA.
