Position Summary:

The Supervisor, Dispensing at Empower plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of dispensing processes, contributing significantly to business impact by optimizing workflows and enhancing quality. This leadership position demands ownership over shift operations, effectively utilizing AI to expedite decision‑making and improve accuracy and scale. As Empower continues its journey in the hyper‑growth, highly regulated 503A/503B environment, this role aligns with strategic objectives, fostering a culture of excellence and compliance.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate strategic thinking, execution rigor, and learning agility. The Supervisor, Dispensing is integral to advancing Empower's mission of expanding access to innovative medications, ensuring both operational efficiency and regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive Development: Leads and develops a high‑performing team of dispensing technicians through coaching and performance management. Ensures career development opportunities while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and inclusion. Leverages AI tools to tailor development plans, enhancing team engagement and commitment to high standards.
  • Execute Strategy: Aligns shift operations with departmental strategy by translating goals into actionable priorities. Optimizes resource allocation and ensures smooth coordination across shifts. Utilizes AI‑driven analytics to predict demand and allocate resources effectively, maintaining operational continuity.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintains accountability for shift‑level productivity, quality, and regulatory compliance. Proactively ensures operational readiness for audits and inspections, leveraging AI systems for real‑time compliance monitoring and reporting to uphold Empower’s high regulatory standards.

Operational Excellence

  • Data Analysis: Analyzes operational data from multiple systems to identify trends and address inefficiencies. Implements workflow improvements that enhance accuracy and throughput, utilizing AI to process data quickly and make informed decisions, significantly boosting team performance and operational excellence.
  • Continuous Improvement: Leads LEAN initiatives and supports the rollout of new technologies or policies. Guides the team through change adoption with minimal disruption, employing AI‑assisted change management strategies to facilitate efficient transitions and improve overall service quality.
  • Resolve Challenges: Serves as the primary escalation point, resolving operational challenges and customer concerns. Utilizes AI‑driven insights to anticipate potential issues and implement solutions swiftly, ensuring alignment with Empower’s mission and maintaining high service standards.
Knowledge and

Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Proficient in data analysis and operational optimization, with experience in utilizing AI tools for process improvement.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance and quality assurance in a pharmaceutical dispensing environment.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience, with at least 2 years in a pharmacy setting preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; further educational qualifications in pharmacy or management are advantageous.
  • Thorough knowledge of Texas pharmacy laws and inventory management practices, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy management systems.
  • Current registration and good standing with the Texas Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician.
