** The opportunity*
* EY's Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services practice specializes in helping clients achieve their financial recovery goals following disaster events such as hurricanes, fires, tornadoes, and pandemics. As a leading professional services firm, we offer grants management, compliance, and insurance claims services to some of the most complex and prestigious public and private sector entities. This EY team consists of a diverse group of professionals, including accountants with disaster management experience, forensic accountants, engineers, former FEMA professionals, and other claims experts, all working collaboratively to provide our clients with unmatched expertise.
** Your key responsibilities*
* In this role, you will lead engagement teams to provide government and public sector clients with a variety of services associated with the management and compliance of disaster recovery funding made available through complex grant and stimulus programs (FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR, ARPA). This might include managing large projects for states and local governments, developing client relationships, developing and implementing engagement processes, working with stakeholders to resolve complex compliance issues and managing teams who undertake the monitoring of federally funded projects.
This role will allow you to leverage your technical, managerial and leadership skills to resolve our clients' needs from the front lines.
Additionally, you will lead business and practice development initiatives.
Travel and presence at client sites, along with in-office presence will be required.

** To qualify for the role you must have*
* + A bachelor's degree in accounting, law, finance, business or related field
+ 9+ years' related compliance, audit, financial management, disaster recovery and/or emergency management experience, ideally with a government agency or professional services firm
+ Possess a professional designation, such as CPA, CFE, or CEM
+ Excellent project and time management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements
+ Strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the confidence to communicate complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences
+ A quantifiable history of business development success
· The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
· Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations
** Ideally, you'll also have*
* + Relevant FEMA, disaster management or insurance related experience, preferably within a professional services firm

+ We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $134,000 to $305,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $160,800 to $347,700.
