Business Banking Manager

This position is responsible for managing business deposit accounts and service operations. The role works closely with the Business Lending Team and Branch Network to originate and develop new business deposit relationships while managing business deposit policies, procedures, strategies, and product development.

• Primarily responsible for growing business deposits and services.
• Create and execute business development plans to increase business deposits.
• Perform due diligence and determine eligibility to open new deposit accounts, establish account services, and approve ACH credit risk limits.
• Proactively prospect businesses to generate new deposit relationships.
• Partner with the Business Lending Team and Branch staff to originate new relationships and expand existing business relationships.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Business Lending, and Retail teams to maximize business deposit growth.
• Recommend competitive fees, pricing, and terms for business deposit products.
• Monitor competitor deposit offerings and recommend enhancements to products, rates, fees, and terms.
• Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, renewals, due diligence, ROI analysis, and implementation of new services.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for business deposit products and services while supporting internal teams.
• Monitor business deposit performance and prepare management reports.
• Stay current on federal and state regulations and recommend updates to policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate organizational values while supporting company goals, mission, and vision.
• Assist with hiring, training, and developing staff as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Strong knowledge of business deposit accounts and treasury services.
• Business development and relationship management experience.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of business banking operations.
• Understanding of banking regulations and compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and banking software systems.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

• Minimum 2 years of business deposit sales/origination experience.
• Preferred 1+ year of management or leadership experience.
• Experience developing business deposits within the Houston, Texas market is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with banks or credit unions is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field required.
• MBA or other advanced business degree preferred.
