Payroll Manager

We're partnering with a well-established global organization seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to provide leadership and stability to its U.S. payroll team during a critical period of business and ERP transformation. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll leader who enjoys coaching teams, driving operational excellence, and ensuring compliance in a fast-paced, complex environment.

This is a hybrid contract opportunity with the potential for extension beyond the initial 8-week assignment.

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the U.S. payroll function
• Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely service delivery
• Coach, mentor, and develop the payroll team while fostering accountability and confidence
• Build scalable processes, governance, and operational consistency
• Serve as the primary escalation point for payroll operations
• Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and project teams to balance daily payroll activities with ongoing ERP transformation initiatives
• Use reporting, metrics, and continuous improvement to enhance payroll performance

• Proven leadership experience managing medium-to-large U.S. payroll operations
• Deep knowledge of U.S. payroll regulations, taxation, and compliance
• Strong experience developing and coaching payroll professionals
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining operational excellence
  
  Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Confident decision-maker who can work independently and set priorities
• Experience navigating organizational change and leading teams through transition

• Hands-on experience with People Soft Payroll
• Experience supporting ERP implementations or system migrations (Oracle Fusion or similar is a plus)
• Background working within large, global, or complex organizations
