Description

Fervo Energy is advancing the next generation of geothermal energy to deliver 24/7 carbon-free power  combine subsurface engineering, horizontal drilling, and real-time data systems to unlock a clean, reliable energy resource built for the demands of modern power markets.

As Fervo scales its Geo Block Factory to deliver multiple gigawatts of geothermal capacity, the Integrated Planning function is building the operating system that keeps execution moving at the pace of growth, including decision-timing discipline, cross-functional design integration, and portfolio-wide performance reporting. This role is the analytical and coordination engine behind that system.

The Senior Associate, Integrated Planning owns the reporting, performance analytics, and cross-functional coordination that keeps the Integrated Planning function running day to day. You will synthesize data from across the development portfolio into the SQDC dashboards and look-ahead reports that give leadership a clear, current view of Geo Block health, and you will serve as a reliable connective point across Well Delivery, Surface Facilities, Power Delivery, Appraisal, and Finance.

This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Integrated Planning.

This role will have direct exposure to both senior leadership and executive leadership, preparing materials for and participating in look-ahead planning cadences and executive reporting sessions.

You are comfortable working with development schedules as an analytical input, translating schedule data, defect trends, and lessons-learned patterns into clear recommendations; your primary value is in what you do with that information, not just producing it. As Fervo's development program grows, the tools, reporting cadences, and coordination processes you build are expected to scale with the portfolio.

The ideal candidate brings a technical undergraduate background and preferably an MBA, with field experience spanning oil and gas and/or electric power or utilities environments. They are analytically sharp, operationally credible, and effective at communicating complex information clearly to both field teams and senior leadership.

Requirements Responsibilities Analysis & Performance Reporting
  • Synthesize data from across the development portfolio into weekly and rolling look-ahead performance reports across the SQDC framework:
    Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and Excel-based tools that give leadership a clear, current view of portfolio status and trends.
  • Conduct variance analysis on portfolio performance vs. plan, identifying patterns and surfacing insights that inform planning decisions.
  • Produce materials for look-ahead planning meetings, Geo Block scoping meetings, and executive reporting cadences.
  • Track capital cost per Geo Block vs. plan in coordination with Finance, flagging deviations that require attention.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Coordinate with Well Delivery, Surface Facilities, Power Delivery, Appraisal, and Finance teams to gather planning inputs and ensure milestone commitments are documented and tracked.
  • Support Geo Block scoping meetings by consolidating stakeholder inputs, distributing materials in advance, and maintaining scope documentation from initial planning through execution; facilitate recurring or lower-complexity scoping meetings independently as capability develops.
  • Track cross-functional dependencies and communicate impacts when activities shift, ensuring the right people have the right information.
  • Serve as a reliable day-to-day coordination point across the development team, following through on action items and keeping planning workflows moving.
Schedule Fluency & Milestone Tracking
  • Read and interpret integrated development schedules across active Geo Blocks, using schedule data as an analytical input to performance reporting and planning conversations.
  • Monitor milestone adherence across the portfolio and flag schedule risk early, in coordination with Geo Block teams.
  • Maintain schedule accuracy by working with functional teams to keep data current and consistent.
  • Maintain the LRM (Last Responsible Moment) date register and report the LRM Adherence Rate across active Geo Blocks, tracking decision-timing performance, not setting decision dates.
Planning Operations & Continuous Improvement
  • Support the development and maintenance of planning templates, reporting frameworks, and process documentation.
  • Contribute to the refinement of planning standards across development phases, from appraisal through commissioning.
  • Analyze defect and lessons-learned data for recurring patterns across Geo Blocks and surface findings to the Sr. Manager, Integrated Planning for incorporation decisions.
  • Apply AI tools to speed up report generation, dashboard refreshes, and lessons-learned synthesis.
Requirements Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Earth Sciences, Geology, or a related technical field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in capital development analysis, operations, or…
