Regulatory Affairs Manager - ERCOTOur client, a growing energy infrastructure and power generation company, is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager to support its activities in the Texas power market. This individual will play a key role in monitoring regulatory developments, engaging with industry stakeholders, and helping shape strategies that support the organization's commercial objectives across ERCOT.

This role offers significant visibility and the opportunity to influence regulatory strategy within a dynamic and evolving energy landscape.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company in ERCOT stakeholder meetings, regulatory proceedings, and industry working groups.
  • Monitor and analyze regulatory, legislative, and market developments impacting the Texas power market.
  • Develop and advance regulatory strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Coordinate external consultants, technical advisors, and legal counsel on regulatory matters.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulators, policymakers, industry associations, and market participants.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess market rule changes and emerging policy initiatives.
  • Prepare presentations, analysis, and strategic recommendations for internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in ERCOT, regulatory affairs, energy policy, utility regulation, or wholesale power markets.
  • Strong knowledge of ERCOT market structures, stakeholder processes, and the Texas regulatory environment.
  • Understanding of competitive electricity markets and market design principles.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
