Work and collaborate with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization in the development of contractual templates related to specific scopes for Operations & Maintenance, Capital Projects, and Shared Services (I.T., HR, Cybersecurity, etc.)
Duties and Responsibilities- Work with SCM professionals to identify areas where contractual templates may be utilized to standardize and simplify contracting requirements thus streamlining the acquisition process from RFx to award.
- Collaborate with SCM professionals to prioritize the work activities where supply chain will benefit from ready-available contractual templates.
- Collaborate with SCM professionals, business owners, legal, risk, finance subject matter experts (SMEs), and others to execute the formation of templates.
- Ensure that the templates contain fit-for-purpose terms & conditions language appropriate for the risk profile of the scope, compliant with company’s policies, procedures and functional requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent required.
- 10 years of direct experience in working in both contract formation and post-award contract management, and proven experience in the development of diverse contractual templates within the oil & gas and/or energy business sectors.
Skills and Abilities
- Expertise in contractual terms and conditions applicable to the oil and gas and/or energy sectors.
- Experience developing contracting playbooks and clause libraries.
- Deep understanding of current industry practices related to indemnity, limitation of liability, cybersecurity, insurance, warranty, intellectual property, confidentiality, and supplier risk allocation.
- Influencing, communication, and facilitative skills, across cultures, functions, and geographies.
- Ability to advise and engage all levels of management and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of supply categories (equipment, materials and services) within area of assigned concentration.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and support change management within organization.
- Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships with peers, SMEs, senior leadership, business stakeholders and suppliers.
- Strong presentation, organization and planning skills.
- Self-starter with interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and collaboration platforms including Excel, Word, SharePoint, One Drive and Teams.
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Management (CSM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSD), Certified Professional in Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
