Paralegal Position
Weaver is looking for a Paralegal to join its Tax Controversy team. The role includes assisting the Head of the Tax Controversy team in resolving tax disputes for clients across various industries.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting responses to tax authorities.
- Assist in developing response templates.
- Conduct tax and legal research and analysis.
- Liaise with external parties including clients and tax authorities.
- Maintain client response files and manage response deadlines with tax authorities.
- Support with administrative tasks.
- Assist with drafting external tax content.
- All other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to work successfully in a fast-paced controversy group – i.e., highly organized self-starter with ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines with little supervision.
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills - presentation, written, and verbal.
- College degree, plus 2-4 years paralegal experience.
