Position Summary:

The Safety Manager serves as the primary safety leader for S&L operations, owning the development and execution of a comprehensive safety strategy aligned with the Ameri Gas Safety Management System. This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement across all safety disciplines — from policy and program development to frontline field engagement. The Safety Manager partners closely with S&L operational leadership to proactively identify risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and embed a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

Key responsibilities include conducting safety audits, delivering field training, and maintaining a consistent presence across work sites to reinforce safe behaviors and build trust with employees at all levels. This role designs and administers critical safety programs that influence both cultural and behavioral change, translating safety strategy into measurable outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:
  
  Bachelor of Science degree in safety or a related discipline, field experience could substitute degree.
• Length of
  
  Experience:
  
  5+ years of progressive work experience of administering safety, occupational health required 5+ years Leadership in a management or supervisory position required.
• Certifications:
  
  BCSP preferred
