Your impact
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Entry Level HSE Coordinator to join Life Sciences North America in Houston, Texas.
As part of our team, in this initial remit you will provide HSE support related to a project in Houston, TX. You’ll serve as a partner working with project and construction management as well as the Line of Business (LOB) HSE Director to lead HSE excellence, and contribute to and/or develop strategies to win pursuits which ensure no worker injuries or negative impacts to our client’s business continuity.
We’ll ask you to support Beyond Zero performance that is inclusive of the LOB vision and strategic plans as well as provide overall support to the team and client assigned.
We’ll rely on you to take personal ownership and responsibility for protecting people from harm and for driving strategies and performance while supporting continuous improvement. You’ll own and maintain open communication with the Project HSE Director, project and peer Project HSE team members, and members of our Construction Management teams to provide technical resources guidance, to ensure alignment and to assure consistent implementation of HSE process tools that support LOB HSE strategic plans and objectives.
Key duties of this role include:
- Maintain safety records: document safety incidents, inspections, and compliance activities to ensure accurate and up-to-date records for management and regulatory purposes.
- Track, inventory, store, and issue Personal Protective Equipment, 4-gas monitors, and calibration equipment.
- Assist with safety training: organize and support training sessions, toolbox talks, and safety campaigns to educate employees on safe practices.
- Conduct inspections: perform routine safety observations, facility walkthroughs, and hazard identification to reinforce safety expectations
- Support audits and regulatory compliance: prepare reports, assisting with internal and external audits, and ensuring documentation meets legal and corporate standards.
- Administrative support: update safety postings, bulletin boards, and communications, as well as entering incidents into safety management systems.

Here's what you'll need- 0-2 years of experience in HSE or construction
- Ability to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
- OSHA 30 Hour Training (will be provided by Jacobs if not current.)
- Experience coordinating, inventorying, and issuing HSE Tools and PPE
- Experience in construction or similar industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook and Power Point

The base salary range for this position is $60,000.00 to $82,170.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
