Project Coordinator
Location: Houston, TX
Employment Type: Contract
Target Rate: Approximately $50/hour on W-2
Experience:2–3 years
Education: MBA required
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and highly organized Project Coordinator to support the planning, execution, and monitoring of business and technology projects. The ideal candidate will have an MBA, 1–2 years of relevant experience, and excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project managers in tracking project activities, milestones, and deliverables.
- Maintain project schedules, action-item trackers, risk and issue logs, and status reports.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, document minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Monitor timelines and proactively identify delays, dependencies, and risks.
- Communicate project updates to stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and leadership.
- Assist with documenting business requirements, objectives, and success criteria.
- Maintain accurate and well-organized project documentation.
- Support resource planning, budget tracking, vendor coordination, and administrative activities.
- Prepare presentations, dashboards, and management reports.
- Help improve project processes, reporting practices, and team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- MBA from an accredited institution.
- 1–2 years of experience in project coordination, project-management support, business operations, consulting, or a related field.
- Strong organizational, time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience preparing meeting minutes, project documentation, status reports, and presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Based in or able to work onsite in Houston, Texas.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or traditional project-management methodologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar tools.
- Exposure to risk tracking, budget monitoring, vendor coordination, or requirements documentation.
- Internship or professional experience supporting technology, operations, transformation, or consulting projects.
