Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Financial Analyst
- Inventory to join our team. This role is an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-paced energy industry, focusing specifically on oil, gas, and refinery sectors. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis and will be responsible for managing and optimizing our inventory across various terminals and pipelines.
- Perform detailed financial analysis to understand inventory trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and make recommendations to senior management.
- Utilize Right Angle software to manage and track inventory levels across multiple terminals and pipelines.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of physical inventory against financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future inventory needs based on historical trends, market conditions, and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize costs.
- Prepare and present reports on inventory performance, trends, and forecasts to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to inventory management in the energy industry.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes related to inventory management.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on inventory management best practices within the energy industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. A Master’s degree or MBA would be an advantage.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, with a focus on inventory management in the energy industry.
- Strong knowledge of oil, gas, and refinery sectors, including operations, regulations, and market trends.
- Proficiency in using Right Angle software for inventory management.
- Experience in conducting reconciliations and identifying discrepancies.
- Strong financial modeling skills, with the ability to forecast inventory needs and optimize costs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially and ethically.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
